Please join us at the Leir House Cultural Centre on Sunday, September 23rd for the final event of Penticton Arts Council's Arts Rising Festival; the dedication and ceremony of the Clint George sculpture, "Bringing Back the Salmon Chief".

BBQ to follow.

This is a free event, but we ask that you reserve a ticket to help us with the BBQ numbers.

Clint’s magnificent steel sculpture was the People’s Choice winner of the 2017 public sculpture exhibition along Lakeshore Drive, and it tells the story of how the coyote brought the salmon back to the Okanagan Valley. When we found out that this meaningful sculpture was available to purchase, we felt that it deserved to stay right here in Penticton as the centerpiece of the historic Leir House property. This legacy acquisition will be permanently installed in front of the Leir House Arts & Culture Centre, for the enjoyment of visitors and our entire community for years to come.

If you would like to contribute to keeping this wonderful sculpture in Penticton for generations to come, please consider using the button below to make a donatation.
